Since I've never been real good as a photographer myself, and have done less of it in recent years than when I was younger, I haven't a lot in the way of good photos to show off, but here are a few instruments in my current style.
This is the guitar which I am currently playing.
This is the same guitar together with a twelve-string built for
a friend who played at the same church.
These guitars are both made with curly maple backs and sides. The difference in color is due to the difference between lacquer and varnish as finishing materials.

This guitar was built for a Puerto Rican who has always played steel strings, but wanted some of the qualities of the classical style instruments typical of the Latin-American countries. It is basically a steel-stringed classical guitar.
The back and sides of this instrument are made from padauk. I use spruce exclusively for my tops.
As I stated on the previous page, I have favored making my own decorative work rather than buying it. Above you can see two of my rosettes.
