Vacation 2004 — More Pictures
I have more pictures of the desert, but I forget just where I was when
I took some of them.
I think this mesa is called Vulture Peak; it’s the site of a
large gold mine back in the day. I was some where on the
ranch’s grounds when I took it.

Open ground just outside the ranch; extremely typical of the area.

A shot of what Glen called “that flat top mountain,” or
something like that.

During our trip on Tuesday, he would point out there say stuff like,
“You see that flat top mountain over there? You see those
smaller mountains in front. We’ll head up there, go between
those hills, come down around behind there, and back up over here,
then head back this way.” I’m like, “Yeah; uh-huh;
yeah; OK.” as if I was able to follow where he’s pointing.
