The Game Show Compendium
is a comprehensive list of links to pages about specific American
game shows, including pilots. Whether it's the original pilot to The Hollywood
Squares, a home version of Match Game, or an episode guide to a show that
lasted ten weeks,
you'll find a link here.
This site functions primarily as an historical reference. In other words, we specialize in finding pages about game shows of the past, not necessarily of the present. We couldn't possibly find every link to every news article about Fear Factor, Weakest Link, Dog Eat Dog and the like, and we're not about to try. We do try to find some links for every recent game show (and we'll be happy to add any that you specifically send our way), but our links for modern shows should not be considered comprehensive. Whenever possible, we do try to at least link you to a page with even more links about a given show.
For more
information about many of the sites, we include the following
color codes.
We don't expect you to
memorize what all the colors mean, we just think the dots are
pretty.
indicates a truly special site that goes above and beyond the typical effort
indicates that the site has pictures (more than one) and/or sounds
indicates an official site, which may not be as comprehensive as fan sites
indicates an episode guide or similar checklist
indicates information about the board game based on the show
indicates the opportunity to play some version of the game on the site
indicates something a little different than the usual tributes or information
You can
always see how current the page is by checking the update notice
on the top of the page. Links marked were added on the most
recent update and may not actually be new websites.
All Pyramid dollar versions are listed under 'Pyramid',
everything else is alphabetical. Don't look for
"New" or "All-New", look for the show's
original name. To submit your own site or sites, write us
at ottinger@acd.net. Now go surf!
