Unlike other computer releases from this era, the Softie and GameTek editions of Card Sharks were actually different games.

This promotional CD-ROM for the 2001 remake was produced and distributed to the media but not sold commercially.  Some copies have surfaced in secondary markets such as eBay.  The rules for the CD-ROM game are based on an earlier pilot for the series and not on the program that eventually aired.

This theme was also used for the less well-known Goodson-Todman game Double Dare.
