The CD's liner notes credit IGAS music director Norman Paris with writing this famous theme, though it was actually written by Leroy Anderson, as is obvious from the title of the above album!  In fact, Plink, Plank, Plunk has been covered on many albums dedicated to Leroy Anderson's music.  The Steve Allen song This Could Be the Start of Something became the IGAS theme when Allen was host.   Allen (and others) have recorded this song countless times, but the TV versions appear not to have been released commercially.
