MERV GRIFFIN'S CROSSWORDS

(Parker Brothers 2008) [Ty Treadway on cover]
Released after the TV show had been cancelled (plans for a second season fell through), this home edition is not "Based on the TV Game Show" as you typically see, but instead is marketed as "The Social Wordplay Game".  What's more, though TV host Ty Treadway is prominently featured on the lid, he is not identified by name anywhere on the outside packaging.

(St. Martins Griffin 2007) by Timothy Parker
Three Editions [Ty Treadway and Merv Griffin on covers]

Each paperback book in this "official tie-in to new hit game show" includes 100 crossword puzzles. It's unclear whether some of the puzzles are identical to the puzzles used on the show, but since the show made less than 300 episodes, it's certain that not all of them are.  The first edition offers "easiest" puzzles, the second "easy" and the third "easy-to-hard".  Parker, the crossword editor for USA TODAY, is listed as the "puzzle producer" for the TV series.  Original art on some internet sites featured different, less colorful covers and a different logo.

(THQ 2008) for Nintendo Wii [Ty Treadway on cover]

(Elephant 2008) [Ty Treadway on cover]

(Microsoft 2008) for Xbox Live Arcade
Many of the TV episodes heavily promoted the Xbox Live Arcade download.
    (Electronic Arts 2008)
Electronic Arts offered downloads to various mobile devices in 2008.
