Singer songwriter Patti Anne Lea fell in love with the Gaelic
music of her ancestors when she first realized her heritage. Although
she has sung everything from rock to bluegrass, and has toured the midwest and played coffee houses from
California to Tennessee,
her feet are now firmly planted on her Scots-English roots. Throw Irish
and Cherokee Indian into the mix and you have “a true Celt,” as she says.
Her love of traditional ballads balances the original material she likes
to perform.
Her latest CD, Your Song in the Wind, reflects this strong influence.
It is a magical blend of mostly original songs utilizing guitar, mandolin,
whistle, and low land pipes.
. . . her songs are reminiscent of the
early works of Joni Mitchell in their bare simplicity. . . the music evokes
contemplation. It tugs at the soul with its unique brand of Gaelic
timbre.

Patti has been a "resident" at the Ten Pound Fiddle Coffeehouse in East
Lansing, and is often a featured performer at the annual Celtic Festival
at Hillsdale College. Along with song writing and singing, she plays
guitar, lap dulcimer, Bodhran, and piano.
When you hear Patti sing, be prepared to be transformed to a different time
and place. Let the music help your soul to remember your own past, present,
and future.
